Oloyede mentioned that registration will commence with UTME candidates, followed by Direct Entry candidates.

The sale of Direct Entry (DE) application documents and E-PIN vending is set to begin on Wednesday, February 28, and conclude by Thursday, March 28, 2024, exclusively at JAMB offices.

Here are essential points to consider before applying:

  1. The JAMB Direct Entry form is distinct from the JAMB UTME form, specifically for those seeking admission into the first year of a university program.
  2. Registration is only possible at JAMB offices.
  3. Applying for both JAMB DE and UTME in the same year is not allowed.
  4. The JAMB DE form is an online application submitted on the JAMB portal.
  5. JAMB recognizes twelve qualifications/certificates.
  6. Statement of result is acceptable for registration within three years of the date of award.
  7. Upgrade from UTME to DE is available for candidates awaiting DE results at the UTME registration point and those anticipating A-level results.
  8. The DE fee for the 2024/2025 session is N3,500, with additional charges for CBT Centre registration, mock/UTME, and bank commissions, totalling either N6,200 or N7,700 based on whether the candidate sits for the MOCK examination.
  9. A National Identification Number (NIN) is mandatory.

Payment methods include:

  1. Bank payment: Utilize the e-PIN generated on the JAMB portal.
  2. Online payment: Use an ATM card or USSD code on the JAMB portal.
  3. POS payment: Available at accredited CBT centres or JAMB offices.

To register:

  1. Create a JAMB profile by sending NIN to 55019 or 66019 via text message.
  2. Log into the JAMB portal with the received code.
  3. Obtain the JAMB e-PIN from an accredited bank, CBT Centre, or embassy (for candidates abroad) by presenting the confirmation code and paying the required fee.
  4. Upon sending a message to 55019 or 66019, receive a 10-digit profile code, registered name with NIMC, and the total cost for UTME with or without Mock, and for DE.
  5. Present the profile code during form procurement, and the e-PIN is sent via text.
  6. Present the e-PIN at any JAMB-accredited CBT centre for registration.

To retrieve a lost profile code or e-PIN:

  1. Send [RESEND] to 55019 or 66019.
  2. The profile code will be retrieved and delivered.
  3. If the e-PIN is not received or lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] for UTME or DE, respectively, to 55019 or 66019 from the registered cell phone number.
